Who We Are
Berea was founded in 2005 in Rossville, Georgia, and is adjacent to Chattanooga, Tennessee. The northwest Georgia and metro Chattanooga area population is more than 300,000. The area is served by the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport.
Berea is governed by a diversified Board of Advisors comprised of members representing the academic and professional community.
Berea enrolls students who are completing their degree programs through various innovative distance education learning formats and delivery systems. The school offers distance education courses, dispersed-residency intensive seminars, traditional classroom experiences and church‑centered Bible classes.
Berea is committed to maintaining a community of faculty, staff, and students that recognizes the inherent dignity and worth of each human individual as being in the image of God. We desire that all Christians should develop and nurture a racially, socially, and denominationally diverse community, even as the early church was diverse. Berea also accepts the responsibility of being a positive example as we prepare men and women who will make beneficial social changes to society, the church, and the world.
Berea admits students of either gender, all races, and any national or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded to students. In the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, grants, and programs, Berea does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, national or ethnic origin.
